Hey, I have finished the game more times than I can remember but was wondering about the so called cheat engines!
In regards to potential risks involved or any comments about them in general!

If you're trying to locate the addresses, make sure you're using 4 Bytes and searching for number * 8 + 6.

it will only work on the character creation screen.
I'll explain how I achieved it, but I won't guarantee that this will work for you too. I tried many things and this worked.
First I tried with PINCE but It didn't work (I use Debian Buster). Then I did it on a virtual machine with Windows 7 + cheatengine and it worked. My initial character wasn't with 1 1 1 1 of main stats (but I've tested one 1-1-1-1). Also, I took the "process" of the flash, not the "application" of chrome in Cheat Engine <<not sure if this is needed>>. You can see the PID with Shift + Esc on chrome. Convert the value to hex, this will be the PID on the process list of Cheat Engine (at least it was on my VM).
How did it on the program
Let's say my character in creating screen is with every of stats equals 1. Then we have 1 * 8 + 6 = 14 (decimal) = 0000000E (hexadecimal). I tried with the hex (for me it seems it crashes if I use decimal).

Pressing <New Scan> with almost the same options. I found a lot of results. Then I go to character creation screen again to change, lets say, Accuracy (first screen shot). Now Accuracy is 2, and the number is 22 decimal = 00000016 in hex. Now use <Next Scan> with that "Compare to first scan" option, and now it won't be listed a big list like before. I tried 4 times (one each for stat) and all the second scan had only one result. I change them with hex values I want. Then I return to the game screen. What I see? The values didn't change! Crap! But I added a point in the accuracy stat and all the others refreshed and show the values I want.

how do i get money in this game, you start with none and i dont think i should sell my map. what do i do
It worked fine when I tried it on Steam version, but not on Basilisk (flashpoint core 9). I guess Mateus70 is right about the process thing. Ill try this when I get home and then I update here. The thing is, in flashpoint, I got all the DLCs and a game in course that I want to mod... by the way, I havent tried to use the flashpoint save to play the steam version to see what happens. I can send a feedback on it too.
With JPEXS you can edit your character go to folder named IsoEngine and Character screen, find the var for stats and edit, money is in caravan folder. Dont know where is for other characters
